I changed the original 60GB internal drive in my Core Duo Macbook with a
more spacious one. The previous drive had Office for Mac 2008 installed. I'm
aware that Office for Mac 2008 could be installed on three computers, but
might I be able to use that same serial number on this new drive?

Hi Charlie!

Nothing prevents you from installing the Office 2008 software as many
times as needed. It does not require activation like other Microsoft
products and nothing is tracked about where you have it installed.

FYI, this newsgroup has been deprecated and replaced with
microsoft.public.mac.office. Be sure to post any further questions in
that group rather than this one. You'll have a lot more eyes seeing your
messages there.

upgrade/rebate and yes I have installed the same serial number from the
first unit with no problems.
