Dear members

OP XP SP 3, Scanner HP 1215 3 in one PSC.

I scanned a document and saved it to my documents, and at my documents I
tried to open it many times but what I got is a sound of ping, at my
documents I tried to open other documents some of them did open others did
not they reacted the same as the scanned document with a ping sound, although
they used to open normally before.

What I have noticed is, the ones which open have a W letter on the aquare on
the left side which as we all know that it is a microsoft words sign, and the
ones who hve an E on the side do not open.

I did not change anything, and it is the first time it happens with me, my
MS Words is 2007.

Hopeully there is a solution.

Hi nasser jamal,

Unless you converted the scanned image of the document to text via an OCR process and saved the resulting output as a Word document,
you've probably still got just a scanned image. Word doesn't open image files, though you can embed them in an open document.
